Winter classes start from the 17th January in Basingstoke and 18th January in Reading – Find out more below.

Our classes are run by expert tutors Urbi Basu, Sushmita Pati, Ratul Yousuf, Anindita Mantry, Vaneet Singh and Manasa Bhat.

We run workshops and classes for all ages and abilities. Start your journey learning Odissi, Kathak, vocals and Tabla with an hour’s session or book in for regular classes from beginner to advanced levels.

Tabla Classes

Saturdays (fortnightly) 1.30—2.30 pm

Location: The Vyne Community School, Vyne Rd, Basingstoke RG21 5PB

Learn narratives and stories through Tabla. The word Table is derived from ‘ta’, as taal is the rhythm, ‘ba’, which means ‘boles’, relating to the narratives and ‘la’, which means ‘lay’, and the various speed of the rhythm. It’s an interesting instrument both children and parents can play. Some of the Tabla students are also doing an arts award with Trinity College this term.
