Weekend Dance Classes — Discover the Dancer Within
This autumn, take a break from the everyday and discover the joy of Indian dance.
Kala The Arts welcomes welcomes students for classes in Kathak, Odissi and Bollywood dance. Whether you’re completely new to Indian dance or looking to develop your existing skills, our classes offer a wonderful opportunity to learn something new, connect with India’s rich cultural heritage, build confidence and have fun along the way.
With experienced tutors and classes for different ages and levels, there’s something for everyone.

At Kala The Arts, our classes are led by experienced and passionate tutors who bring their own knowledge, artistry and love of Indian dance to every session. Whether you’re discovering a classical dance form for the first time or developing your skills further, there’s a class for you.
Discover the beauty, grace and expressive storytelling of Odissi with Urbi Basu. Based in Reading, Urbi welcomes students of different ages and abilities, helping them develop their technique, rhythm and confidence while connecting with this beautiful classical dance tradition.
Sushmita Pati brings her expertise in Odissi and Kathak to Kala The Arts. Her Basingstoke classes offer students the opportunity to explore the intricate movements, rhythm and expressive qualities of Indian classical dance, whether they are just starting out or looking to take their practice further.
Learn Odissi from wherever you are with Anindita Mantry. Her online classes make it easier to build a regular practice, develop technique and immerse yourself in the graceful movements and rich storytelling of Odissi — all from the comfort of home.
Bring your energy and creativity to the dance floor with Ratul Yousuf’s Bollywood classes. Expect vibrant choreography, infectious music and plenty of fun as you explore the colourful world of Bollywood dance.
Step into the world of Bharatanatyam with Manasa Bhat. Explore the strength, precision and expressive storytelling of one of India’s most celebrated classical dance forms, while building a deeper understanding of rhythm, movement and performance.
Explore the rhythm, elegance and storytelling of Kathak with Katherine. Alongside Sushmita, she helps students discover the distinctive footwork, musicality and expressive movement that make Kathak such a captivating classical dance form.
